Chef Christopher Dobrowolski
Chef Christopher was born in New Orleans and grew up in Sedona AZ and various places throughout California. His exposure to fine dining, traditional street foods, Farm to table dining and becoming fascinated with the vast flavors of food at such a young age led him to believe how happy and excited the taste of dishes made him. Chef Christopher attended Scottsdale Culinary Institute in the late 90’s after already experiencing years of experiences with great chefs and restaurants while in High School.
Upon graduating, he was already engrained in the Hillstone corporation and quickly became a KM in several locations within the company. It was at these thriving high-volume restaurants where he truly learned hands on and was able to hone in on his skills within a commercial kitchen. Christopher was also able to obtain numerous awards and opportunities to participate in community events and festivals, where he was able to touch the locals in the city of Sedona with his passion for food.
In,2002 he landed an opportunity to be a Corporate Chef for the world-famous Cowboy Club where he spent 10 years. While there, he was also learning firsthand about High Desert Cuisine while also exploring his own styles of creative culinary ways. He decided to proceed with his dream of opening Schoolhouse Restaurant which was named in Phoenix magazine, Az Republic, Food and Wine, and a vast number of other articles. The focus on providing memorable experiences while using the products of the Verde Valley to create a semi farm to table concept, and sharing all of what he learned throughout the years under the culinary realm excelled him to the top.
After several years and some poor decisions within business he got to the point of wanting to focus more on his family and the guests and clients that grew to love him in the Verde Valley and Kauai. This is where Christophers meals began in 2019 with the idea of serving 20/30 meals a day grew into 600/1000 in a five-day week with chef quality meals delivered to your door. This allowed Christopher to expand his culinary endeavors to add private chef dinners for 1+ or catering from 10 to 200 in the Verde Valley and Kauai.
Being a chef, I pride myself on being a chemist when making sauces, dressings and pairing food together in ways you will not find anywhere else. My attention to detail ensures each element of a dish is of the best quality and prepared in a way that brings out the most flavor possible. The most important ingredient of love will always be sure to strike your palate first. I often travel to culinary destinations, find local ingredients and manage to create unique and stunning dishes everywhere in the world, nothing will stand in my way of executing perfection on a plate.
